Over the years House Music has been divided into several well-defined sub-genres. These sub-genres have become well entrenched in the house music scene and have made it difficult for House Music lovers and DJ’s to find several styles of House Music under one roof. However, one party that is open to all styles of House Music can be found right here in Houston. This party is Open House. Open House is a monthly party where the music ranges from Deep, Soulful and Funky to Electro and Progressive.
Open House was founded in February of 2006 by East End Boys Productions DJ’s Alex C, Esteban Torres and Bobby Blyss. If you have been to an Open House party, then you already know that each DJ at Open House has a distinct style that is never compromised, but instead allowed to be stretched to it’s fullest range because of the dynamics of the party. Sometimes tracks will be played as tributes to forgotten producers, some will be played for House Music education purposes, while others will be played simply to light the fire on the dance floor. If you have not been to Open House yet, then be sure to come out to the next one and join the fun. It takes place on the the FIRST FRIDAY of each month.
